Do you like the advantages our popular Explorer Box offers drivers of smaller, fuel-efficient vehicles but aren’t ready for a Tent Topped camping trailer?

We now have a rack system available so you can build our popular Explorer Box as a Gear Hauler. Working with ProRac we’ve designed an application of their extruded aluminum cross bars and adjustable roof tracks that creates a rack system perfectly sized for the top of an Explorer Box.

Building an Explorer Box initially as a Gear Hauler and adding a tent unit down the road is a great way to get the extra space you need now and spread out the cost. An Explorer Box trailer body is built the same if you plan on using it as a Gear Hauler or Tent Topped camping trailer. A Gear Hauler version is also a good option if you already have a nice high quality ground tent such as a canvas Springbar.
